well God is faithful. crazy how often i say that, and yet i still am blown away by how true it really is. but really. He has done some AMAZING things during our time here in dharan...
first of all...we were coming back from an open air at this church where we had an amazing time with a small group of people. sam had spoken on prophesy and encouragement, and we had a chance to pray over the people and get specific words for them and stuff...it was really good! so yeah, we're walking to catch our bus (which ended up being super late, which was really God's timing) and this blind man and his friend come up to us, and ask us to pray for him...CRAZY! first of all...he didn't even know that we were Christians. and, we didn't go to him...he came to US. we got to share a LOT with him, and we prayed for him. he wasn't healed instantly, but even better...He gave his life to Jesus! it was probably one of the most amazing things i have ever been a part of. i actually watched someone get born again, and it really actually was like watching someone get born again! so he came back to our church with us, and spent the night there...we had dinner and breakfast and then prayed for him again. i really believe that the Lord is going to use that man for INCREDIBLE things...He may not heal his eyes physically, but his spiritual eyes have just been opened, and there is already such a passion in His heart...when we asked him if he believed that Jesus was his saviour, he said he believed in the core of his being! it was so amazing to hear him say that, and just to know that God has been working in him leading up until this point. we really had nothing to do with it...there was no program that he heard, or planned thing to teach him...he was just moved to come to us; and because of that...he got SAVED! :)
God had been teaching me a bit on the trek, just about the importance of where my heart is in all of this ministry stuff...and He asked me how far i would go to see someone to Him...and when this guy got saved in the middle of a bus stop...God reminded me of that...and He asked me if this man was the ONLY reason for us being in nepal for outreach, would i consider it worth it...and i was like YEAH i would! i felt like i got just a little taste of what God feels like when someone gives their lives to Jesus. man. it was like i was bouncing all over the place inside. it was amazing...and it didn't stop there...
the next day, we did an open air and i was talking to these gurls, and this guy came up to me and asked me to pray for him cuz he had a stomach infection for the last six months and was in a lot of pain...so i started talking to him, and i told him about times in the bible where Jesus healed people, and that He wanted to heal him because He loved him, but that he had to believe in Him, and that He was the one TRUE God. this man's face had changed COMPLETELY by the end of the conversation...he said he believed, and when i asked him if he wanted to give his life to Jesus...he said yes without ANY hesitation! so i went (well...stumbled) through a prayer with him, and then prayed for his healing. i also told him to pray and to just talk to Jesus as if He were standing right in front of him...we prayed together, and when i asked him if he felt any different, he said "i just have peace. there is a peace in my heart that i have never felt before!" and i was all..."THAT'S JESUS!!!" seriously...i have NEVER seen someone light up like this man! it was probably my most favourite moment to date. so yeah, i introdiced hom to some other Christians in his village, and then we had to leave...but i told him i would keep praying for him for healing and that he should too...and the next day, one of our contacts came back from that village and said that he was COMPLETELY healed!!! awesome huh? he came to church, and we got to go back to that village today actually to do more ministry! God is moving HUGE in that village! a TONN of people have given their lives to Him, and there have been healings and demonic powers cast out, and CRAZY stuff going on there! there is a group of people that work for Youth for Christ, and they JUST moved there last week because they felt the Lord was calling them to that village, and ALREADY within a week and a half we have seen HUGE changes there...oie!
God is the BEST! i just love Him so much :) i love the way He works, and i'm SO glad that i am here, and that i get to be part of His plan for this country and these people...i REALLY seriously LOVE these people. if i could i would take a whole plane load of kids home with me...i found another one today. i love her and wanted to put her in my backpack and take her home with me :) but can't do!
but yeah. there has been SO MUCH going on...i can't even try and get it all in on this...but i WISH i could post pictures! man. it'll be good to get home and share...

O Jes..its so good to hear all this stuff. God IS so faithful and good. How exciting and encouraging to hear about people getting saved and healed and are hungry for Him. We can't wait to see all your pics and hear all the rest of the stories when you get home. In the mean time, may He lead you by His Spirit for thats the safest place to be. We love you, hugs and kisses.
The thing I find most exciting about all this is that you are taking on the heart of God. You are feeling how He feels when one of His kids gets introduced to Him for the first time.
You have the honour of being at their adoption! But oh how His heart must ache because He wants everyone to be adopted and no one to be an orphan. Peace out, can't wait to give you a big hug in person but until than Daddy can hold you in His arms.
