so. first week in dharan. i'm SO glad to be here. it's a different environment. much lighter and a little more laid back than kathmandu. we've been busy though, which is good. God is on the move...
i shared at a church on saturday, gave a bit of my testimony and then shared about prayer and intercession...it was good. we have pray offs to see who the Lord wants to share, and i really didn't want to, but everyone kept getting my name, including me...and when we prayed to last time, God told me what He wanted me to speak about so i was like FINE...it's funny cuz normally i don't get nervous about stuff...but i really was this time. weird. my time in nepal has really been humbling though, and i'm really learning to depend on God's strength...and His words and wisdom in EVERYTHING...so all those nerves and silly things don't really matter anyways.
we had 24 hours prayer here from saturday to sunday night, and the Lord really used that time to get our focus back...and renew our hearts with His heart for this country. we have it set up that each of us does an hour of prayer on our own...then we do a prayer walk in groups, have some prophetic prayer time, encouraging each other, and then we do corperate praying and worship. it's really good...and it's an awesome day just to spend hanging out with the Lord, and reading and stuff between prayer shifts...
our dts has really been focused on prayer and intercession from day one, and our base director has an amazing vision to see 24 hour prayer houses spread throughout the world...it's really incredible. and it's SO powerful, so i'm excited to be a part of something like that here, and even more excited to see how the Lord is going to move through it all.
it's been a little difficult to not be seeing crazy things happening here yet...like miracles and stuff. but the Lord has really changed my heart towards all of that. He's shown me that me wanting to see things is just for my own benefit, and that i need to have a wider perspective. i am seeing more that our time here is also making a difference for teams in the future, and supporting the ministry already going on here...He's given me a real heart just to be behind some of that...my perspective has changed a LOT on outreach.
i'm starting to really understand His love on such a deeper level. He's brought a new understanding for myself...but more importantly for others. just being in the villages and with the people, and knowing what Jesus did for THEM...man. and that the way He loves me is the same way He loves THEM, and knowing that they can experience Him...i want EVERYONE to know that!
the Lord is so good. He really is. He is so faithful, and He really does love His people. ALL of them. even the ones that don't know Him or care to know Him. UH! He's so awesome. i just love Him. :)
i gotta fly. gotta go get me some new shoes...sorry if this is a rambly writing, but my heads kinda all over the place...
love from nepal.
