nepal...

hey everyone!

i know it's been a SERIOUS while since i've updated, specially with the pics, but it's been hard to get online here and be productive...it takes FOREVER to get anywhere online cuz these puters are ANCIENT!

but yeah...nepal. it's incredible. the people are SO beautiful, and i have fallen in love with the kids. i've been here for two weeks now...and i'm starting to get settled in. we're just finishing the first part of our outreach...we've been in kathmandu doing temple tours and prayer walks and stuff...we've spent a LOT of time in prayer and intercession just to start things off right! it's been really awesome. we are staying at a nepali family's house...it's a beautiful three story house (not at ALL like anything surrounding it) this family is really cool though...Robbie is involved in a TONN of ministry around the city, so we have just sorta come along side that over these two weeks...Robbie is so awesome...he's a fifty year old EXTREME man! he's really interesting and VERY wise, and he has been teaching us a LOT about the culture and religions and all kinds of effective tools for ministry. He used to be a Bhuddist, then he was a Hindu, and then he found Jesus and now he's a passionate incredible Christian. He's super fun and absolutely HILARIOUS!

so yeah...we've been pretty chill these first two weeks...we've been doing 24hour prayer time at least once a week, and doing through the night prayer (8pm-4am) about four nights a week...i truly think it's going to have awesome effects on the fruits of our ministry! i can already see the difference in the spiritual atmosphere when we go out for ministry here, and i am SO excited to see how the Lord is going to EXPLODE His glory in Dhuran!

we are leaving tomorrow morning EARLY for a trek through the mountains...we'll be visiting a bunch of little towns that apparently have never seen shite people, and don't have any idea about life as it is today...it's supposedly like going back the Jesus' time. should be interesting at least! :)

after the trek, we'll be staying at a church in Dhuran (not spelled right) and doing ministry there for a month...i think that's where things will get INTENSE! that town is really ripe and people are DYING to hear more about Jesus...so we will be doing a lot of open air teaching and preaching and musical ministry...FUN DILLY! still haven't prepared a sermon of any sort or put ANY notes together...but i'm sure the Lord will gimme the words when i need em!!!!!

yeah..so this has been an amazing experience! this culture is VERY different...it's VERY hindu. nepal is the only HINDU country in the world, and it's crazy to even see the effects of that in the people and in the streets...it is really delayed with any sort of advancement in technology or any type of economic success, and it's interesting to see how the basis of the country's religious foundation has hindered these people...it really actually breaks my heart to see how much fear the people live in here...the only reason most worship the gods they do is because they are so afraid of what might happen if they don't. they really are a loving culture though, and it's SO cool to see how they respond when we talk about the love of Jesus. it's really hard though because they just tend to want to add Him to the list of their gods as another one to worship...

but MAN! this country is SO ready for revival! it's EXCITING!!! it's crazy to think that in 1950 there were only 4 Christians in the entire country of nepal...now 55 years later, there are over 1 million! God has been doing some amazing things here, and i feel completely blessed that i even get to play a small part in it! :)

so yeah...that's the sitch so far! i'm really hoping to get more time online once we're in Dhruan and i'll try and get updates out every week at least...i hope to get some pictures up as well...and i'll try to share some more specifics about my experiences...

as for now...

psst...just a few prayer requests from our team...

1. team unity (it's really strong! but pray for continued strength!)
2. boldness and anointing to speak, and humility to truly understand that it is not us...but Jesus through us.
3. safety while trekking and travelling.
4. that the Holy Spirit will really prepare the way and set divine appointments for us to use...
5. grace...to be radically obedient to the Lords leading
6. deeper intimacy with the Lord, as out of that will flow true love for these people, and the most effective ministry.

i am so thankful to have all of you at home to share this with...i love you guys so much! thankyou for such awesome support over the last months!
