the trek...

so we are in serious need of trainin' for nepal...seeing as we'll be hikin' MAD mountains, and the air will be thinner...so for our growth groups today, we decided to trek to another town with our packs on to give us just a lil taste of what's to come. Absolute insanity...no it really was fun but we trekked about 10 miles today with 40lb backpacks on in almost 90 degree weather...heh. our team is so awesome though...we all loved it, and it made us even more excited for nepal!

the only crappy thing is that i didn't have very good shoes on and now i have GINORMOUS blisters on my heels...like HUGE ones. but the entire time we were walking i kept up a good spirit because i was DETERMINED to not get negative. and it really helped! God gave me the grace to get through it without even a limp...

i am starting to really get excited for nepal though. i'm starting to get a heart for the people, and just outreach in general. i'm SUPER pumped about Thailand to start too. it's gonna be AWESOME to have the whole dts doin stuff there, and all of our contacts will be meeting us there and doin a week of training for our final outreaches...it's gonna be kicken!

anyways...i have lecture tonight, so i must be runnin...i have a bunch of stuff i wanna share about nepal so i'll try and get that on later tonight or tomorrow...

OH! YEAH! one more thing...so last weekend i had a REALLY sore back. i don't know what it was...but it was progressively getting worse every day, almost to the point where i wanted to hit the hospital cuz i couldn't sit, stand or sleep properly...anyways it was really bad.
so on monday night it was the worst it had been...we were having this really awesome worship intercession thing, and andy said that he felt that God was wanting to do some healing, and if there was anything wrong with us, to lay our hands on the area of need and pray for it. i was like...k God i know it's not a serious disease or problem, but i am in some crazy pain, so i'm just gonna pray...and i did...and right after, i felt no different. awesome thing was that py the time i went to bed, the pain was almost completely gone, and when i woke up in the morning there was NO PAIN AT ALL!!! YEA! got healed! God's so awesome. just wanted to share and say thankyou Jesus!

peace out ya'll!

huge loves from maui...

Hope you don't mind a comment from someone who believes we can ask our Father for anything. Its what He wants. We are His children and He wants us to come to Him for everything. To rely on Him totally. It is His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom.
Oh and where did Jesus say He's in a piece of wood? I never have read that in the Bible. Would love to talk about stuff with ya, Joni.
