creepy...

it's 3:42am and i've been up since almost 2:00...

so...we had an intruder in our house tonight. a man. in our house. stealing stuff. he actually broke into two of the ywam houses at different locations...he stole a laptop, and ipod, a digi cam, and some money...but the police caught him. so that's good. here's how it all went down...

bethany woke up for some reason, and felt really weird...she got outta bed and her bedroom door was open. that may not seem weird...but it is because her bedroom door actually backs out onto the backyard. my room and two other rooms are actually outside of the house. anyways...she walked out to go to the bathroom, and as she did, she saw a man walking out of our driveway. she went back into her room and woke up her roomates to tell them...as she was talking he walked by and looked in their window...they yelled, and he ran. the girls came runnin into our room...and we called 911. everyone went into the house, and ashley was in there saying that he had been IN her room too...apparently he had been throughout the house, going through wallets and stuff. ashley had woken up and saw him; she said something and he took off...as he was running out the door, esther (our leader) was walking out of her room (one of the outside rooms) because we had called her from our room when we were calling 911...he ran right past her, and down the road.

so we were totally FREAKED out, all of us in the house in with all our valuables...the cops were touring around, and we called some of the guys to come from their house and protect us. we all just started praying stuff...then will (another leader) came up from another house saying that they had been broken into and that the police were saying it was the same guy...he apparently knew where our ywam houses were (cuz they are spread around town). elizabeth (an sbfm student) was awake, and came out of her room and saw him. she said something to him, and he took off running (with stuff in hand)...

so yeah...by then our entire base pretty much was awake, and the police were out lookin for him in the sugar cane fields. so we all just started praying more that he would be caught, and the stuff would be recovered...

the police came back with a guy in the back seat...he was identified, and it was the guy that was seen at both houses. he had taken off his clothes and tried to hide the stuff...everyone gave their statements, and the police did their questioning. so they GOT HIM!

the cool thing is that God had protected all of us through this...for some reason he didn't come into my room...our door was unlocked and my camera and puter were on my dresser...thankyou LORD! also. ashley had felt that God was telling her to take her wallet out of her purse and put it on her dresser before she went to bed...and when she woke up the dude was in her room, going through her purse.
bethany was woken up all of a sudden in the night, and for some reason, went outside and saw the guy...elizabeth couldn't sleep. and she came face to face with him in her house. all of these things, i believe, were little warnings from God...i am so thankful that we all were safe... apparently he had been in our house scopin and stealin other stuff before.

so anyways...even as i have been writing this, the cops found out where he lived (at a hostil) and he had a TONN of stuff in his room, even id's and stuff that belonged to students from last winter's dts...CRAZY!

all the stuff is recovered. some of it is broken, but it's all back! and we're all okay. we will be working on LOCKIN the doors all the time, and having keys for everything...

so yeah! crazy night. it's now 4:30 am and i'm WIPED out...so i should hit the sheets...just wanted to share my drama with ya'll...

oh and please pray for all of us, just for protection from now on...and pray for the dude. he's got some issues...i gave him my t-shirt cuz he had no clothes on. he was pretty messed up apparently. on some crazy drugs or something. but maybe he'll get saved through all this...

and please don't worry...i really do live in a safe environment...plus i'm smack dab in the middle of God's will...how much safer can i get? :)
